BRUNCH TEA PARTY WITH ONE KINGS LANE

Last month I had the pleasure of hosting my gaggle of girlies over at the studio for brunch. One Kings Lane graciously donated some beautiful items to add a pop color and elegance to my eclectic mix and match approach to setting my table for friends. The rest of this week I'll be sharing the recipes over here, in case you didn't catch 'em on the OKL blog. For now here are a few film photos shot on my little Indian 35mm toy camera I bought for 50 rupees!

Brunch has a casual languidness I really enjoy -- the optimism of morning is still upon the group and there's an air of possibility with the rest of the day to come . . . All of my favorite foods are involved: toasts, eggs, something sweet, a light salad, all accompanied by endless pots of tea, coffee and plenty of cream and sugar.

The menu I set for this little gathering:

- roasted radish toasts with smashed avocado
- roasted beet & burrata salads with pea shoots
- almond citrus torte with blood oranges and greek yogurt spiked creme

I'm getting hungry just thinking about this line up again!! Recipes to come tomorrow and the next day.
